Keys to language acquisition


Teaching English successfully in Thailand can be a challenging experience Let see three techniques that English teacher would use in the classroom to make attention to students to acquire language.

The main goal in teaching any language is to help students obtain basic speaking skill or just everyday language tools. Specially Designed Academic Instruction in English(SDAIE) This technical will help to success in teaching and learning comprehention.Let's expand these two and related concepts.

Total Physical Response is a simple that should be used to increase Vocabulary,specifically,verbs and adjectives. The student will show in body movements about that word.

A type routine for adjective improve would begin with the six common concept:big/small,long/short,tall,short.Students then mimic spoken English, body movement and the word in their native language.

In-to-through-beyond is a guide for lesson planning and delivery. Based on the idea of Scaffolding. Scaffolding is the building of new knowledge upon the old knowledge.

This plan allows student to connect a new concept to ones they are familiar with. Student become active learner.

-Through a lesson. Begin teaching a new material and new concept.

-Beyond a lesson. Point out real world applications to students.

Evert student is different and every students learns differently. Some student will naturally excel in some lessons or subject. While others will struggle even basic idea or topic. This is only natural. Be prepared by knowing the strengths and weaknesses of each student.

When students experience success, they become more confident to use the new word .Encourage exceptional student with higher-level questions while,simultaneously,offering reasonably less-challenging options to student who may be somewhat more challenged.

I think it will be a good idea if a teacher in secondary school will use those technic,because it show how to use and the way to improve a student English skill such Vocabulary,verbs,etc. Teacher need to understanding students about weaknesses or strengths to be successful in the future.
